In a recent book review in the Denver Post, author, journalist, and history writer, Sandra Dallas, said, “Do we really need another book on the West’s historic hookers? With the holidays underway, the subject of food moves closer to the front of our consciousness. Recently, I became the happy recipient of a gift for my kitchen – a brand new Lodge iron skillet. Fortunately, it is the ten inch size, which I can actually lift with one hand. This heavy black metal object settled in on top of my modern electric stove, and I have become an iron skillet convert.
